Auberge French Forest

The Auberge French Forest is a complex with three French restaurants where you can stay overnight. The terrace is a wooden terrace with approximately 30 seats aat Grand Baobab, 20 seats at La Rose and 20 seats at Prince Etoile.

We recommend having dessert and coffee out of your full-course meal on the terrace when the weather is nice. With nature spread out before you, you can relax as if you are taking a bath in the forest. You can enjoy your dessert course with a pleasant breeze, or you can enjoy your full-course meal indoors and just a dessert course on the terrace.

Grand Baobab offers a fusion of French cuisine and Italian cuisine, while La Rose is a fusion of Japanese and French cuisine. Prince Etoile offers a fusion of French cuisine and Basque cuisine. Both Awaji Island and Basque area are known as the area of gourmet food. The wine pairings are also a pleasure to enjoy. Surrounded by the greenery of Awaji Island, you will be able to enjoy the best of three local gastronomies.

Aman no Shokutaku

Aman no Shokutaku offers a pirate cuisine on the first floor and teppanyaki/sukiyaki on the second floor. The terrace with about 30 seats is right outside of the restaurant. It offers a view of the Japanese garden.

The terrace seating, which is recommended on fine days, has a Japanese-style atmosphere that is relaxing. The magnificent rock formations are amazing and a grassy garden spreads out. Trees change their expressions from season to season. You can also enjoy a stroll in the garden with a pond. Matcha green tea and Japanese sweets such as o-hagi (rice cakes with sweet red beans) are served during café hours.

Utage on the first floor is a restaurant serving pirate cuisine. The pirate cuisine is prepared using Awaji Island’s typical ingredients such as sea bream, pike conger, onions, vegetables, Awaji beef, and Awaji chicken, and is full of wild flavor. The Utage Gozen is popular for lunch.

You can choose your main dish from boiled fish, sashimi, or fried chicken with rice, pickles, a small side dish, steamed egg custard, miso soup, and salad. Rice can be refilled freely. The menu is supervised by Chef Haruyuki Yamashita, Hyogo Prefecture’s counselor in charge of Hyogo’s “food”.
