A sake brewing by professionals with skills handed down for many generations is a part of Japanese traditional culture. Two brands awarded this year are aged from a raw shochu and have a very mellow taste. “2010 Kana” is a shochu made with black sugar, while “1984 Batsugun” is a shochu made with wheat.
