Nijigen no Mori will host “The 2nd Awaji Island COSPLAY ~AWACOS~ Powered by World Cosplay Summit” on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in cooperation with WCS Inc. Prior to general ticket sales, reservations for the exclusive “Hands-Free Cosplay Special Stay” package—combining accommodation at Nijigen no Mori’s official luxury hotel “Grand Chariot Hokutoshichisei 135°” with event participation tickets—just began on Monday, January 5th.
This experiential cosplay event takes place at Nijigen no Mori, where visitors can immerse themselves in the worlds of Japan’s renowned anime, games, movies, and other 2D content within a space blending nature and technology. Cosplayers and park guests alike can enjoy sharing these fictional worlds together.
Nijigen no Mori was the venue for the first “Awajishima COSPLAY ~Awacos~ Powered by World Cosplay Summit” on December 20, 2025, in cooperation with WCS Co., Ltd., which organizes the world’s largest cosplay event, the World Cosplay Summit, every year to determine the No. 1 cosplayer. Set against the backdrop of each unique attraction area exclusive to Nijigen no Mori, participants dressed up as their favorite characters and thoroughly enjoyed photo sessions and socializing.
Awaji Island located in the Seto Inland sea is filled with beautiful nature, interesting culture, local gourmet food and amazing historical sites related to a Japanese myth, that is, Awaji Island being the birthplace of Japan. Awaji Island is just one hour from Osaka, 30 min. from Kobe and 1.5 hours from Kyoto by car or public transportation, a perfect destination to add to your Japan trip itinerary.

In response to the overwhelming reaction to our first event, we’ve prepared multiple ticket options for this second installment of the event to allow more guests to fully enjoy cosplay itself. In addition to the “Cosplayer Ticket” which includes access to dedicated indoor changing rooms, we’ve created a “Photography & General Admission Ticket” for those wishing only to photograph cosplayers or interact with them. With this ticket, you can freely explore all of Nijigen no Mori’s attraction areas throughout the day, enjoying the infinite possibilities of nature × immersive worlds × your own impressive costumes & makeup.

Overview of Accommodation Plan at Grand Chariot with an Event Ticket
Grand Chariot Hokutoshichisei 135° , an official hotel of Nijigen no Mori, features 23 individual villas designed as cocoon-like spaces. The sunrise and starry skies viewed through skylights over 5 meters high in each villa offer truly spectacular experiences. Dining is overseen by Master Chef Haruyuki Yamashita, who represents Japan internationally and operates 13 restaurants worldwide. Guests can savor dishes crafted with meticulous attention to ingredients from Awaji Island, a culinary treasure trove historically known as the “The Land of Food” for supplying ingredients to the Imperial Court.
