Autumn Bus Trip: Ultra-Convenient West Coast Bus Plan

As the summer heat subsides, now is the perfect time for travel. If you’re planning a trip in the Kansai area (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, etc.) you should definitely take a day or two to swing by Awaji Island to enjoy activities, entertainments and gourmet food. Keep reading to learn about discounts for transportation, food, and recreation!

Via Maiko Station or Sannomiya Station

If you’re traveling to Awaji Island on public transport, first head to Sannomiya Station (via JR Kobe Line, Hanshin Main Line, Hankyu Kobe Line, Seishin-Yamate Subway Line, Kaigan Subway Line), Maiko Station (JR Kobe Line), or Maiko-koen Station (Sanyo Main Line). Limousine buses can take you there from Kansai Int’l Airport and Osaka Int’l (Itami) Airport, as will the train lines above.

From Sannomiya and Maiko Stations, you can take the Kita-Awaji Nishi-Kaigan Line (Shinki Bus) highway bus for a direct line to the beautiful northwestern coast of Awaji Island. If you’re departing from Sannomiya, please note that there are two bus stops – the Awaji-bound bus departs from outside the shopping mall “Mint Kobe”.

Note: Please make sure you confirm which bus stop you need to board from by checking the Schedule Board indicated in the photo No.6.
