From June 1st to August 31st, 2025, the “Summer Limited Course Meals” will be offered at Restaurant Tamatebako in the media art and restaurant “HELLO KITTY SMILE” on Awaji Island.
There are two types of course meals: the “Spring Limited Smile Special Course” and the “Spring Limited Smile Course”, which use plenty of carefully selected summer ingredients such as head shrimp and Awaji beef.
Summer Limited Course Meals
In the store filled with the cute world of Hello Kitty, you can enjoy the finest cuisine made with fresh ingredients from Awaji Island at the “Spring Limited Smile Special Course” and the “Spring Limited Smile Course.”
“Summer Limited Smile Special Course” has a total of 6 dishes.
- Assorted hors d’oeuvres
- Shark fin soup with jade balls and dried scallops
- Stir-fried seafood with Awaji seaweed and bicolor paprika and zucchini
- Oven-baked shrimp with cheese flavor
- Soft pork belly stewed in Zhenjiang spicy sauce in a small Chinese bowl
- Yuzu-flavored cold noodles/mango pudding
“Oven-grilled shrimp with cheese flavor” is made with chewy shrimp topped with a flavorful sauce made with aromatic vegetables such as shallots and celery.
“Tender Pork Belly Stewed with Zhenjiang Spicy Sauce in a Small Chinese Bowl” is pork belly that melts in your mouth, and is simmered with Zhenjiang spicy sauce, which is made from sticky rice and has a rich flavor and aroma.

“Spring Limited Smile Course” has a total of 6 dishes. You can choose from 4 types of main dishes.

- Assortment of four kinds of homemade dim sum
- Main dishes to choose from (Awaji beef and colorful bell pepper stir-fried nest style, shrimp with chili sauce, thinly sliced boiled pork with flavored soy sauce, or minced pork wrapped in lettuce)
- Yuzu flavored cold noodles
- mango pudding
“Homemade Dim Sum Assortment” is a set of four types of dim sum, including shumai and jade dumplings.
The four main dishes you can choose from use Awaji beef and shrimp, which are known for their smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture and elegant sweetness, to bring out the flavor of the ingredients to the fullest.

HELLO KITTY SMILE has two restaurants and a media art area that depicts a fantastic Ryugu Castle where Hello Kitty wearing Otohime’s costume and sea creatures come and go. At the restaurant, you can enjoy healthy single-pot dishes made with ingredients sourced from Awaji Island, fresh seafood grilled from the Seto Inland Sea, and dim sum while looking out at the Harimanada Sea.
Restaurant Tamatebako is a hideaway restaurant for adults where you can enjoy gozen meals and solo hot pots made with carefully selected Awaji and domestic ingredients. There is also plenty of cafe time where you can enjoy latte art and afternoon tea, and the open and dignified space is the perfect place to take a breather.
In addition, a restaurant greeting event where Hello Kitty comes to the restaurant at 12:00 and 17:00 is currently being held. You can take cute photos with Hello Kitty.
