3D Maze Attraction “Ten no Maki (Heaven Scroll)” at NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-Zato

NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-Zato is an attraction area located in the anime theme park Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island, Japan. Visitors can enjoy the world of popular ninja anime “Naruto” and “Boruto”.

This time, we will introduce the three-dimensional maze attraction “Ten no Maki”, which is one of the most popular Naruto attractions.

3D Maze Attraction “Ten no Maki (Heaven Scroll)”

At the reception desk, you will receive a scroll with the missions for the “Ten no Maki” and “Chi no Maki” written on it. You can choose which attraction to start with.

As you enter the Hidden Leaf Village, the towering Hokage Rock comes into view. Set against the breathtaking natural scenery of Awaji Island, its presence is truly striking. The faces of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, are faithfully recreated, drawing visitors into the immersive world of the anime and manga.

Characters from “BORUTO” Welcome You

At the entrance to the Scroll of Heaven attraction, visitors are greeted by BORUTO characters Sarada Uchiha, Boruto Uzumaki, and Mitsuki. Beside the entrance, a figure of Sasuke stands as a guide, ready to lead the way. Using his space-time ninjutsu, Sasuke opens a portal to the alternate dimension where Naruto has been taken, marking the start of a daring mission to rescue the missing Hokage.

Let’s Practice Ninjutsu Hand Signs

Before entering the massive 3D maze, participants must learn the proper way to form hand seals (In, 印) to activate the essential ninjutsu needed for the mission. Standing before a mirror, you’ll have to practice these seals, which are divided into 12 types based on the zodiac signs. Stepping into the role of a Hidden Leaf shinobi, the mission begins!

Collect Stamps and Use Hand Signs to Clear the 3D Maze

Once ready, participants will enter the 3D maze and begin collecting stamps marked with hand seals. At first, it may be unclear where to go, but the names of familiar characters who know the seals are written on the scroll, guiding visitors to search for them hidden within the maze. Collecting stamps from each character will help move forward.

Along the way, various obstacles arise in this maze, which features ups and downs. It’s recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes for ease of movement. As you progress and collect hand seal stamps, special doors will appear that can only be opened by using ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is based on five elements: Fire, Earth, Lightning, Wind, and Water. By harnessing chakra and employing these abilities, you can continue your mission through the maze.

Let’s Collaborate with the Characters of “NARUTO”

The scroll features specific characters for each elemental ninjutsu:

  • Fire Release (火遁): Sasuke Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake
  • Water Release (水遁): Boruto Uzumaki and Sakura Uchiha
  • Earth Release (土遁): Shikadai Nara and Mitsuki
  • Lightning Release (雷遁): Hinata Uzumaki, Himawari Uzumaki, and Chocho Akimichi
  • Wind Release (風遁): Sarada Uchiha, Konohamaru Sarutobi, Inojin Yamanaka, and Kawaki

Work together with each character to collect all the stamps and advance through the maze!

Take a Commemorative Photo with Naruto Uzumaki

At the top of the 11-meter-high third floor, the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, makes his grand appearance. After overcoming obstacles and collecting stamps, the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from completing the mission is truly rewarding. Take a commemorative photo with Naruto Uzumaki! Upon finishing the challenge, participants will receive a black wristband as a memento.

Return to the Legendary Cave with the Heaven Scroll

Deep within the cave, a sealing ritual unfolds, transforming the Heaven Scroll before your eyes. The final outcome remains a mystery—one you’ll discover only by completing both the Heaven Scroll and Earth Scroll challenges. Who knows, perhaps some popular characters might appear during the ritual…

Upon completing the Earth Scroll mission, you’ll receive a white wristband. When paired with the wristband from the Heaven Scroll a hidden surprise is revealed—the character for “Ninja” (忍). You can also take home the scrolls you’ve completed, preserving the memories of your adventure in the Hidden Leaf Village.
