HELLO KITTY SMILE Offers Japanese Delicacies in New Full-Course Meals on Awaji Island

HELLO KITTY SMILE on Awaji Island is a Hello Kitty-themed complex with multi-media art galleries and restaurants. One of the restaurants, “Restaurant Tamatebako” is pleased to offer two “Early Spring Limited Full-course Meals”, that take full advantage of the delicious flavors of carefully selected ingredients such as snow crab, live abalone and Awaji beef, from today.
At HELLO KITTY SMILE, you can explore a world inspired by Japanese folklore where Hello Kitty is dressed as a dragon princess. This is the only place in the world where Hello Kitty is dressed in a Japanese kimono. Hello Kitty herself comes by to greet you in person in one of the gallery areas as well as restaurants, according to the scheduled times. She will be delighted to take a photo together!

Awaji Island located in the Seto Inland Sea is a popular resort island, only one hour from Osaka by car or public transportation, perfect place to visit after enjoying major touristic destinations like Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe.

Overview of the Early Spring Limited Full-course Meals

Tamatbako offers a choice of two meals: “Early Spring Limited Smile Special Full-course Meal” and “Early Spring Limited Smile Full-course.
The “Early Spring Smile Special Meal” with 7 courses features “Shark’s Fin Soup with Snow Crab,” a sumptuous dish using snow crab, “Awaji Beef and Harusame (bean-starch vermicelli) in Barbecue Sauce Stewed in Earthen Pot” using Awaji beef, which is characterized by its fine texture and beautifully marbled texture, and the “Steamed Live Abalone with Black Beans” is a dish with a crunchy texture and sweet taste.
The “Early Spring Limited Smile Meal” features a hearty six-course meal including “Seafood and Sagano Tofu Thickened Soup” using smooth Sagano tofu and “Matsukasa Squid and Shrimp in Chili Sauce” using thick Matsukasa squid.
