On the west coast of Awaji Island, there are facilities for the Sanrio character “Hello Kitty,” which is popular with children and adults alike: HELLO KITTY SMILE, HELLO KITTY SHOW BOX, and HELLO KITTY APPLE HOUSE. We will introduce what kind of fun you can have at each facility.

HELLO KITTY at Sea, HELLO KITTY SMILE
At HELLO KITTY SMILE, visitors can enjoy a projection mapping world inspired by the Palace of Dragon Princess, the palace which appears in one of the Japanese folk tale, “Urashima Taro”. There are various areas such as a photo-op spot where the entire wall is covered with Hello Kitty and a Ghost Leg Lottery Game that reacts when the wall is touched. Visitors can also try their hand at playing the “Gara-pon” lottery, in which they will receive a present if they complete all of the missions.
The Hello Kitty you can see at the HELLO KITTY SMILE is dressed in an original costume inspired by the world of the Palace of the Dragon Princess. If you visit HELLO KITTY SMILE, why not take a commemorative photo during the meet and greet time?
There are four restaurants in the facility, where you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine, pasta, sweets, and other delicacies using the abundant ingredients of Awaji Island, which was called “Mitsukekuni (the land which offered seafood and other produce to the imperial court)” at an ancient time. The GARDEN Terrace and Restaurant Tamatebako offer a special meet and greet service during lunch and dinner hours, where you can take a commemorative photo with Hello Kitty, the Princess.
In addition to restaurants, there are stores selling Sanrio characters and other cute goods available only in Ginza and Awaji Island. In addition to Sanrio products, HELLO KITTY SMILE limited edition goods are also available, making it a great place to buy souvenirs.

HELLO KITTY in the Hills, HELLO KITTY SHOW BOX
The HELLO KITTY SHOW BOX is a fun place to enjoy shows, dining, and shopping.
During lunch time, you can enjoy the popular HELLO KITTY JAZZ BAND show with its cheerful performance and giant screen. The show changes with the season, so you can enjoy the show again and again. The food is vegan and contains no animal products. You will be surprised at how delicious the food is.
You can also enjoy shopping at the HELLOKITTY SHOW BOX. The area is arranged by Sanrio character, making it easy to find the items of your favorite character. The store also sells cute original goods, crystal Hello Kitty goods, and other items that are not usually available at other stores.

A Giant Apple House, HELLO KITTY APPLE HOUSE
The HELLO KITTY APPLE HOUSE, located next to the HELLO KITTY SHOW BOX, is the world’s largest apple house and inside is a 360° theater where you can see Hello Kitty’s favorite things appear one after another in a dream world. Hello Kitty can be found throughout the interior, making it a great photo-op spot. When you go up to the rooftop, you can see Hello Kitty’s face on the roof, which you cannot see from the ground, and you will be thrilled to take its photo.
