Make your own “Teruteru Bouzu” at the Naruto Theme Park on Awaji

As rainy season gets closer, the Ninja Village in the Awaji Island’s anime theme park is celebrating with the “NARUTO & BORUTO SHINOBI-ZATO Samidare Festival”. One of the activities is crafting Naruto-themed Teruteru Bouzu.

For those unfamiliar, Teruteru Bouzu is a charming craft with a special place in Japanese folklore, made from white paper or cloth, carefully bound together with string. Resembling a small white ghost, many believe it to possess magical abilities to bring good weather. Join us in making these delightful charms, and let’s summon some sunshine together!

NARUTO & BORUTO SHINOBI-ZATO Samidare Festival Overview

During the rainy months of May and June, we invite you to participate in the Teruteru Bouzu craft workshop. Fun for all ages, even small children can easily make their own lucky charm. These adorable creations will be hung inside the workshop space.

On days when the chance of rain is 50% or higher, photos of the Teruteru Bouzu crafted by the customers will be shared on the attraction’s official social media channels during the event as a collective prayer for clear skies.
