The Awaji 3-year Torafugu Gozen (Blowfish Set) comes with a dedicated box made with Japanese cypress (appetizer, blowfish nigiri, grilled dish), blowfish sashimi, fried blowfish, and blowfish hot pot. It is available until February 28, 2023.
Awaji 3-year torafugu is a top brand of Awaji Island food. It has been cultivated at Fukura Port on the southwestern tip of Awaji Island for about 40 years. It began to show its influence about 20 years ago and has now become a wintertime tradition.
The fish is farmed near the mineral-rich Naruto Straits. The black stripes, characteristic of farmed fish, disappear. The intense rapids nurture the fish, giving it an outstanding crunchiness, deep richness, and rich flavor. The taste is as good as that of wild caught fish.
You can enjoy blowfish in various ways: sushi, grilled, sashimi, deep-fried, and stewed. Zosui (rice porridge) is served at the end of the meal upon request. The price is 11,000 yen (tax included) and advance reservations are required by 5:00 p.m. three days in advance.
Please note that only those chefs who have a license for cooking blowfish given by each prefecture government are allowed to serve blowfish at a restaurant. There should be no concern regarding poisonous parts of blowfish.

Awaji Beef is a top brand of Awaji Island food. It is a name given to beef that meets strict certification requirements from among the Tamba cows born on Awaji Island. There are only 150 to 200 cows of this fantastic level per year.
The beef is characterized by its high quality fat with a low melting point that marbles into the muscle fibers like frost on the ground. When heated, the marbled fat melts and the umami of the lean meat and the aroma of the fat blend delicately, giving it a mellow Wagyu beef flavor.

Aman no Shokutaku’s Sajiki recommends the “Teppanyaki Full-Course Meal” as a gourmet dish of Awaji Island in winter.
The Teppanyaki Full-Course Meal comes with fig and culatello (Italian dry-cured ham), roasted lobster, 3 kinds of sashimi, abalone in salt pot, 100g Awaji beef sirloin with grilled vegetables, garlic rice, red miso soup and dessert.
Awaji figs fuse nicely with Italian ham. The lobster is rich in sweetness and of high quality. The abalone is soft, crispy and exquisite. The sirloin melts in your mouth with the sweetness of the fat and the deliciousness of the lean meat.

SEIKAIHA’s Western-style restaurant Uminoya recommends the “Winter Special Full-Course Meal” as Awaji Island’s winter gourmet food.
The special winter full-course meal includes a cold appetizer, hot appetizer, soup, bread, fish dish, palate cleanser, meat dish, and dessert. The offer is available until February 28, 2023.
We only use seasonal ingredients from Awaji Island. Salmon Half-Cooked is served with a yuzu-scented sauce. The smoked Awaji pork is exquisite with haccho miso sauce. The potage of Chinese cabbage and onions is sweet.
The bread is homemade. Yellowtail Confit and Radish Pan-Fried is rich with porcini sauce. The tangerine and lemon granite is tart and refreshing. Roast Awaji Beef is juicy.
In a retro atmosphere from the Meiji era, you can enjoy a Western-style cuisine with a Japanese flavor along with Awaji beef and other seasonal ingredients. The price is 8,580 yen (tax included) for dinner only. Advance reservations are required by 5:00 p.m. the day before.
