Do you know you can meet the iconic Hello Kitty at the Hello Kitty theme park HELLO KITTY SMILE on Awaji Island? From June 1st, they’re hosting the “Hello Kitty Star Festival” at the restaurant “GARDEN Terrace” on the first floor of HELLO KITTY SMILE. It’s a wonderful chance not just to meet Hello Kitty, but to join a special event with her.

July 7th marks Tanabata, a traditional Japanese festival that celebrates the once-a-year meeting of the fairy, Orihime and a cattle handler, Hikoboshi, represented by the stars Vega and Altair, respectively. During Tanabata, people across Japan celebrate by writing wishes on small pieces of paper and hanging them on bamboo branches. These bamboo decorations, adorned with colorful paper streamers, are displayed in homes, streets, and public spaces, creating a festive atmosphere.
At Hello Kitty Smile, you can join the festivity with their first Tanabata-themed mini stage. Come together to pray for the stars, making sure that Orihime and Hikoboshi are reunited. Capture the moment with Hello Kitty dressed as Princess Otohime, set against the Milky Way backdrop. You can even dance with Hello Kitty!
