[AWAJI EXPO ROAD] MobiWell Awaji 2025 – Experience “Mobility x Wellbeing” on Awaji Island

The “AWAJI EXPO ROAD” project will be held at Yumebutai Sustainable Park (Yumebutai, Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture) from April to October to coincide with the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, to promote Japanese culture from Awaji Island, a birthplace of Japan, and to enable exchange among tourists from around the world who visit the Kansai region on the occasion of the Expo. MobiWell Awaji, the first of this project, will be held at Awaji Island Sustainable Park from 12 noon on Saturday, April 19, 2025 to 12 noon on Sunday, April 20, 2025, and is a unique event where visitors can experience new possibilities for mobility and living. Under the theme “Mobility x Wellbeing,” visitors will enjoy a special experience where technology and culture are joined through state-of-the-art campers, DIY vans, and relaxation spaces.

Experience an Overnight Stay in a Car

You can enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in your car at the venue “Sustainable Park” located in front of the beautiful sea of Awaji Island. To participate in the event, you need to apply in advance for a car-accommodation ticket.

Van Life Talk Show

MeiMei Corporation President Mei Miyamoto and Yasuyuki Ohashi, editor-in-chief of Kernel, a magazine specializing in overnight stays in cars, and other influencers will hold a talk session. They will talk about how to start a van life, how to use a van in times of disaster, and mobility in the future.

Mini Van Grand Prix on Awaji Island

The popular overnight stay magazine “Kernel” will hold the Light Van Grand Prix. The editorial staff will select and photograph the “best” models from among the light vans gathered. The winner of the grand prix may be chosen to appear on the cover of the magazine. All participants with mini-vans are welcome to participate.

Vehicle exhibition by van life influencers

Mori Fuumi @fu_u.m, Uki, Marunana @marunana77, Nosuke @nosuke_vanlife, Dan and Shii @dan_shii99, and other popular influencers will be showing their vans to visitors to experience the appeal of van life.

Tsugaru Shamisen Live Performance

Be entertained by the sounds of Japanese music with a shamisen performance by Issaki Sawada.

Bonfire and Mime Mime

Join us around the bonfire to deepen interaction among participants and enjoy a sense of togetherness through dancing.

Outdoor Sauna

Sauna car & tent saunas are available free of charge to warm up both body and mind! Please bring your swimsuit & towel if you wish to use the sauna.

Mobile Salon

A women-only treatment experience by Fukujo PONNYO @kie_inaba, with a relaxed and gentle adjustment of the whole body and an approach to the uterus from the abdomen. Treatment will be charged separately (2,000 yen for 30 minutes).

Craft Beer and Japanese Sake Fair

Craft beer and sake from all over Japan will gather on Awaji Island, the birthplace of Japan and Miketsukuni (the Island of Food)! Local specialty foods perfect to go with beer/sake will also be available.

One-night-only Supermarket

Awaji Island vegetables will be for sale. You can buy freshly picked Awaji Island produce for dinner that night and taste it on the spot.

Would you like to have an Awaji Island bento for your evening meal? If so, please apply for catering service when you purchase your ticket. A separate fee will be charged.

Live Music Performance “Dreamy Concert”

Relax with live music by violinist Yu Mashiko.

Starry Sky Viewing

Spend a special night with music while appreciating the star-filled starry sky of Awaji Island.
