Vegan zen cuisine considering the season and physical condition
The vegan zen cuisine at Zenbo Seinei is a cuisine that prepares the mind and body, taking into consideration the seasons and changes in physical condition. This meal is gentle on the body and does not use animal ingredients, flour, oil, or white sugar, so it is less stressful on the body.
It places emphasis on Japanese food culture, "fermentation". It uses seasonings made using traditional methods that are aged for one to three years. It also uses homemade amazake and soy sauce that has not stopped fermenting.
It uses local, seasonal ingredients to bring out the flavors of the ingredients. In an environment surrounded by nature, you can enjoy seasonal cuisine while appreciating the blessings of the earth. Supervised by Fermentation Brewing Chef Nobuaki Fushiki.
Architecture by world-famous architect Shigeru Ban
The building at Zenbo Seinei was designed by architect Shigeru Ban, winner of the Pritzker Prize, one of the most prestigious awards in the architecture industry. The wooden lattice design combined with Japanese cedar creates a vibrant and dynamic design.
The height has been calculated so that it does not exceed the ridgeline so that you can feel the great nature of Awaji Island. It has a wooden deck with a total length of 100m. You can enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of nature throughout the seasons.
By walking barefoot, you can feel the warmth and scent of the wood. You will feel like you are surrounded by nature. You can enjoy various natural sounds such as the wind blowing through and the chirping of birds.
You will be healed both physically and mentally in a space filled with the warmth of wood. During the day, you can enjoy the brilliant sunlight, clear air, and magnificent greenery. After sunset, it is lit up in a magical way, and at night you can see a starry sky.

Choose from one-day retreat experience plans such as one-day lunch plan, one-day afternoon tea plan, and one-day sunset plan.
Day trip lunch plan
The one-day lunch plan is very popular as it allows you to have a casual retreat experience. Enjoy a detox and retreat incorporating ZEN Wellness (meditation and yoga), Vegan zen cuisine, ZEN tea, ZEN write, and ZEN incense.
Vegan zen cuisine is Zenbo Seinei's original cuisine, and is made without using any oil, dairy products, flour, or animal products, and the dishes are carefully prepared using seasonal ingredients from Awaji Island.
ZEN Wellness is a meditation program that includes light stretching. An instructor will guide you. Afterwards, after receiving an explanation of Zenbo cuisine, you can enjoy free time anywhere you like.
During the program, you will have a private room, including changing clothes. You can enjoy your time alone in your room (shukubo) or eat while enjoying nature on the observation deck, so you can relax and enjoy your time as you please.
Day trip afternoon tea plan
The day trip afternoon tea plan is a plan that allows you to enjoy a peaceful time during the afternoon cafe time. You can choose from two types: a plan that includes meditation and a plan that only includes afternoon tea.

One-day sunset plan
The one-day sunset plan is a plan where you can enjoy Awaji Island's beautiful sunset and magic hour. There is a 1-hour short plan and a 3.5-hour long plan where you can enjoy sunset and illumination.
During the magical twilight hour, you can enjoy a detox and retreat that incorporates ZEN Wellness, Zen Buddhist cuisine, ZEN tea, ZEN write, and ZEN incense, just like the day trip plan.
※Depending on the weather, you may not be able to see the sunset.
Accommodation retreat experience plan
The accommodation plan is a one-night, two-day stay plan where you can enjoy a detox and retreat workout program that incorporates Zen philosophy. Night and morning have a different charm than daytime, and there are views that only guests can enjoy.
The rooms are based on the philosophy of ``wake up on half a tatami mat, sleep on one tatami mat''. You will have time to face yourself. The 100m long wooden deck is made of Japanese cedar, and when you walk barefoot on it, you can feel the warmth and scent of the wood on your body.
