Awaji Island located in the Seto Inland Sea is a beautiful resort island with not only amazing nature but also gourmet food and Japanese mythological history. The island, a perfect destination for a day trip or an overnight trip, is easily accessible from other major destinations in the Kansai area. For example, it is just one hour from Osaka, 30 min. from Kobe and 45 min. from Kobe Airport by car/public transportation.
The 2nd floor café of American diner and café “miele the DINER” is currently offering six types of “DINER’S SHAVE ICE”, a cool summer dessert that was very popular last year, for a limited time only during summer.
The Japanese-style “SHAVE ICE” allows customers to enjoy the fluffy texture of finely shaved ice along with various toppings of carefully selected fresh and interesting ingredients. In short, they are a perfect refreshment in hot summer!
Let us describe two out of six shaved ice we offer. “HONEY LEMON” is bracing and rich, topped with a refreshing and aromatic honey lemon sauce made with Awaji Island lemons, fresh cream and dried lemon. “MANGO” which is filled with mango is topped with fresh cream and fragrant dry-roasted shredded coconut, offering a tropical feel and a refreshing taste that will help you beat the summer heat.
We hope you will enjoy the limited-time menu, which is designed to look as good as it tastes, in front of the sun-drenched ocean.
