The term “the field” signifies the adventurous journey you’ll undertake to gather resources, craft weapons, and hunt monsters. The training quests include “Field Research” and “Large Monster Suppression.”
In “Field Research,” hunters explore a vast 130,000m² area to find essential items in scattered item boxes. This quest is crucial for preparing for the “Large Monster Suppression” that follows.
In “Large Monster Suppression,” choose your weapon and face the fire wyvern, “Rathalos”. The action controller and tracking device enable you to do battle with on-screen monsters in the designated area. Achieve “Hunter Rank” by vanquishing the fearsome beasts, and get ready for even more formidable creatures to come.

You can select from 4 different weapons and team up to take down the massive monsters! Weapons are divided into “melee” and “ranged” categories, so pick the one that best fits your hunting style. Whether you choose a team of three wielding greatswords or a trio of light bowgun users, the choice is yours!
