Autumn Limited Course at Modern Soba Restaurant “Oh-SOBAR”

From September 1st to September 30th, 2025, Oh-SOBAR, a modern soba restaurant on Awaji Island, will offer an autumn-only course where you can enjoy the autumn blessings of Awaji Island, such as chestnuts, grapes, and figs, with all five senses.

You can enjoy an innovative new style of kappo soba while fully enjoying the taste of autumn on Awaji Island.

Autumn Limited Course

The autumn limited course is a course menu with dishes featuring the autumn flavors of Awaji Island.

  • Autumn limited course (chef’s special Oh-SOBAR Kaiseki) 8,800 yen

There will be 5 types of appetizers that make use of the flavor of the ingredients, including “Coffee Chestnut Boiled Igaguri”, which uses chestnuts, small potatoes, conger eel, and grapes, and “Fried Awaji Island Conger Conger and Awaji Island Grape Tartar”, which uses fried Awaji Island conger conger, which is known for its fluffy flesh, and seasonal Awaji Island grapes.

The main dish will be the “Awaji Beef Peanut Sauce,” which brings out the richness of the peanut sauce and the sweetness of the gentle fat of Awaji Beef.

For soba, there will be traditional Nihachi soba, as well as “various soba” with bright colors and flavors, such as “Akamoku”, which is particularly nutritious among seaweeds, and “Chomeiso”, which is rich in minerals and dietary fiber.

For dessert, there will be a special mousse made with figs from Awaji Island.

  • Assortment of 5 appetizers (Small potato with yuzu miso sauce/Fried conger eel from Awaji Island, Grape tartare from Awaji Island/Coffee stewed chestnuts, Fried burrs/Steamed green onion/Grilled scallop and shiitake mushroom salad)
  • Okawa sea turtle and pumpkin mackerel from Awaji Island
  • Assorted zori platter
  • Hassunmori (Awaji onion buns with tortoiseshell bean paste/Mini Japanese-style croquettes/Abalone liver soy sauce grilled)
  • Awaji beef with peanut sauce
  • Soba noodles
  • Brown sugar and soybean flour mousse with fig sauce
