From Osaka’s Umeda area or Namba area, you will need to go to Sannomiya, the transportation hub in Kobe. Once you’re in Sannomiya, you can ride the highway bus going to Awaji Island. Follow our instructions below if you are coming from the Namba or Umeda area!

1) From Umeda

Traveling from Umeda to Awaji Island is highly convenient. Simply take the JR Rapid Tokaido Sanyo Line directly from JR Osaka Station to JR Sannomiya Station. If you are currently closer to the Osaka-Umeda Station rather than JR Osaka Station, you can also use the Hanshin Line to go directly to Kobe-Sannomiya Station.

2) From Namba

From the Namba area in Osaka, the easiest way is to use the Hanshin Namba Line from Osaka-Namba Station (platform 3) to Kobe-Sannomiya Station.

From Sannomiya Station

From Sannomiya Station, take a short walk to Sannomiya Bus Terminal (Mint Kobe) or Shinki Sannomiya Bus Terminal. Buses from both bus terminals will stop at Awaji IC. Upon reaching Awaji IC, complimentary shuttle buses are available to transport you to the facilities along Awaji Island’s West Coast.
