This restaurant offers lunch and dinner for special occasions by Chef Masayuki Okuda, who was selected as one of the top 1,000 chefs in the world.

Special Course by Chef Masayuki Okuda

Two days, February 27th and February 28th, and April 10th will be special days.

Elevating the culinary landscape of Kansai, Ristorante Scuola is Chef Okuda’s first restaurant in the region, offering a sophisticated dining experience with panoramic views of the Harimanada Sea. Under the professional guidance of Chef Masayuki Okuda, we practice local production for local consumption.

Authentic Italian cuisine using plenty of the highest quality ingredients such as vegetables, seafood, and beef from Awaji Island will be served. Live music by local musicians adds artistic sparkle. Add an artistic accent to sophisticated gourmet dishes.

The chef himself has selected each ingredient and seasoning with great care for this special full-course meal, available only on Awaji Island. Using only the finest ingredients, the dishes prepared personally by Chef Okuda, will not be revealed until the day of the event but are sure to be full of surprises from start to finish. About Chef Masayuki Okuda selected as One of the World’s Top 1000 Chefs

Born in Yamagata Prefecture in 1969, Chef Masayuki Okuda inaugurated the “Al Ché-cciano” restaurant in Tsuruoka City back in 2000. Since 2004, he has proudly served as an ambassador for Shonai, a region in Yamagata Prefecture renowned as the food capital of Japan. His culinary prowess garnered global recognition when he was honored as one of the “1000 Chefs of the World” at Terra Madre 2006, an esteemed event in Italy celebrating socially conscious cuisine.

In 2020, Chef Okuda clinched the prestigious “Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award”, a testament to his significant contributions to promoting Japanese food culture. With a string of accolades to his name, this multi-award-winning chef has not only captivated audiences within Japan but has also made indelible marks on the international culinary scene.
