Auberge "French Forest" is a collection of French-style cottages containing restaurants and guest rooms. Inspired by the island’s lush greenery and flowers under the theme of “botanical,” we have newly opened the exclusive Botanical Lounge “Prince Etoile” for our staying guests.
Enjoy farm-to-table French cuisine made with the finest local ingredients at our two restaurants: the gastronomic restaurant “La Rose” and the ensemble restaurant “Grand Baobab.”
Relax and rejuvenate in harmony with the nature of Awaji Island, and experience a moment of true comfort.

20% Off Renewal Celebration Stay Plan
Nestled quietly in the rich natural landscape of Awaji Island, Auberge "French Forest” offers an experience of “Gastronomy Tourism,” allowing you to fully enjoy local ingredients, traditions, history, and culture nurtured by the land. In celebrating our renewal open, we offer 20% discount on the Renewal Celebration Stay Plan, a special dinner and all-inclusive stay plan. We have prepared an upgraded full-course dinner compared to the regular standard full-course dinner. One course in your dinner will feature either foie gras, truffles, caviar, or lobster.
La Rose, an Gastronomy Restaurant

We offer a local culinary experience featuring abundant ingredients from Awaji Island, renowned for its rich produce. Enjoy a course meal crafted by Chef Ryotaro Murakami, who honed his skills at a three-star Michelin restaurant in France. As the chef holds JAS Sommelier certification, you can also savor the perfect wine pairing meticulously selected for each dish.

For both lunch and dinner, there are three types of full-course meals to choose from: the one with one main dish, the second one with two main dishes, and the luxurious special meal.

Grand Baobab, an Ensemble Restaurant
At the Grand Baobab ensemble restaurant, we offer a gourmet experience accompanied by beautiful music. Chef Tsutomu Ohashi prepares French cuisine that maximizes the inherent characteristics of Awaji Island's abundant ingredients. Custom-made Awaji tile tableware, specially designed to complement the dishes, is another highlight. The largest of the three buildings houses a grand piano, and this auberge features dazzling chandeliers and elegant interior design.

For both lunch and dinner, there are three types of full-course meals to choose from: the casual meal, the standard meal, and the luxurious "Omakase" meal.
