Modern Soba in Kappō-Style Fine Dining

"Oh-SOBAR" is a modern soba Kappō restaurant where you can enjoy refined, health-conscious cuisine crafted with seasonal ingredients from the rich nature of Awaji Island. Kappō, meaning “to cut and to cook”, refers to an elevated dining experience that emphasizes connection between the guest and the chef.  Like with omakase dining, the guest chooses the type of coursed meal they would like to enjoy, and the chef selects the dishes that are served based factors such as what is in season.

The experience begins with appetizers that highlight the natural Umami (savory flavor) of the ingredients, such as Chawanmushi (an egg custard dish) with Awaji onions and broad beans, and steamed abalone and seaweed in a soy dressing. This is followed by exquisite seasonal dishes such as grilled Hamo (pike conger) Sashimi and assorted Tempura, offering a true taste of Japan’s rich seasonal offerings.

The stunning view of one of the “Top 100 sunsets in Japan” is enhanced by its reflection in the torch-lit infinity pool, blending the colors of the sea and sky.  It’s the perfect moment to pair with a glass of sparkling sake, to capture the essence of a truly memorable evening.
